Handyman Services in Knoxville, TN

No job too small.

Most handyman calls in Knoxville get answered by a franchise, and you get whichever tech is on the schedule that day. This is different. Mark Hubler is a licensed residential general contractor with 25 years of building and remodeling behind him, and he is the person who shows up at your door. The same judgment that goes into a full bathroom remodel goes into patching a hole in your hallway or hanging a heavy mirror on plaster.

There is no minimum project he is trying to hit. Make a list, and he will knock out the whole thing in one visit if it fits. Estimates are free.

01

Drywall Repair and Patching

Nail pops, doorknob holes, water stains, cracks at the corners, and the patch left behind after a plumber or electrician was in the wall. Mark hangs, patches, tapes, textures, and finishes so the repair does not stand out once it is painted. Drywall is one of the easiest things to do badly and one of the most obvious when it is.

02

Interior Painting, Baseboards, and Crown Molding

Interior painting for a single room, a hallway, or a punch list of touch-ups before you sell or after you move in. He also installs and replaces baseboards, casing, and crown molding, including matching the profile already running through the house so a new piece does not look new.

03

TV Mounting, Shelving, and Furniture Assembly

TV mounting done into studs or with the right anchors, with the cords handled so it looks finished. Floating shelves, closet shelving, curtain rods, and blinds hung level and into something solid. He also assembles flat-pack furniture. The Amazon and Wayfair boxes stacked in your garage with 90 pieces and a two-page diagram. Almost nobody wants that job, and it is one of the most requested things he does. Point him at the boxes and he will build them.

04

Faucets, Showerheads, and Minor Leaks

Replacing kitchen and bath faucets, showerheads, supply lines, and shutoff valves. Chasing down and fixing a minor drip under the sink or at a fixture connection before it turns into a drywall repair and a floor repair. For anything beyond fixture work, he will tell you plainly that you need a plumber.

05

Ceiling Fans, Switches, and Outlets

Swapping out ceiling fans and light fixtures, replacing worn switches and outlets, and putting in dimmers. Straightforward fixture-level work handled by someone who understands how the box is mounted and what is behind the wall. Anything that needs a panel change or new circuits goes to an electrician, and he will say so.

06

Pressure Washing, Deck Cleaning, and Mailboxes

Pressure washing for siding, driveways, walkways, and patios. Deck cleaning to get the gray and mildew off before it gets sealed or stained. Mailbox installation, including setting the post straight and at the right height. He also replaces exterior locks and deadbolts, which is worth doing the week you close on a house.

07

General Property Maintenance

The list that keeps getting pushed to next weekend. Doors that stick, hardware that is loose, caulk that has failed, a gate that drags, a handrail that wobbles. Good for homeowners who would rather write one check than track down five different people, and for landlords and second-home owners who need someone reliable to look after a property.
